TRX Electronics supplies South Africa with the components needed to create, innovate, and inspire, and has been doing so for the last two decades. Founded in 1996, we have helped thousands of clients over the years, establishing ourselves as a leading provider of quality electronic solutions at affordable prices. We pride ourselves on our ability to source any electronic component you need, including those that have been discontinued or are otherwise hard to find. TRX Electronics specializes in passive and discrete components, connectors, and electromechanical. For us, there is no job too big or too small, so whether you are a massive corporation or an individual client, we can source the components you need.

Our History

We started out small, but by 2000 we had forged a relationship with global component distributor TTI, representing them in South Africa. Through our partnerships with two of the world’s leading electronic component distributors – TTI and Mouser Electronics – TRX Electronics enjoys access to a massive range of products from many of the most recognized manufacturers.

TTI’s extensive product line includes resistors, capacitors, connectors, discretes, potentiometers, trimmers, magnetic and circuit protection components, wire and cable, wire management, identification products, application tools and electro-mechanical devices.

Mouser Electronics is an authorized distributor of semiconductors and electronic components for over 500 industry-leading suppliers and consistently receives audited awards for customer service excellence. The company specializes in the rapid introduction of new products and technologies for design engineers and buyers. Its extensive product offering includes semiconductors, interconnects, passives and electromechanical components.

While we are always celebrating our successes, we are also consistently looking towards the future, as we know that we have only just begun.

Always Expanding, Always Evolving

TRX Electronics moved for the fourth time since our founding, testifying to our rapid growth and our prominent position in the electronic components industry. We currently operate three branches—one in Pretoria, one in Cape Town, and one in Durban—allowing us to cover the South African market in the primary sectors, such as project manufacturing, military, communications, and commercial.
